Bio
Director and cinematographer. Film, photography and art enthusiast. After working as a corporate lawyer in Budapest, she left Hungary at the age of 29 to move to Warsaw, Poland. She finished her studies in film directing at the Warsaw Film School in 2020.

Dora balances her life between business (she is the managing director of the media production company Maxwin Sp. z o.o.) and her family (she is a proud mother of two).

Dora's first film 'Ania' received an honorary award in 2018 for Best Acting at the 64. OKFA - National Independent Film Festival, Poland. It has also won the Best Directing award at the 12 Months Film Festival in Romania, and the Best Student Film award in Best-First Student Film Festival, US. Ania FB fanpage.

Dora had a privelage to work with Michał Urbaniak, world famous Polish jazz musician. Her music video ‘Sunshine’ had been naminated many times and won two awards.

Dora's second film D-moll (eng. D minor) was awarded in 2019 by the Short of the Year Film Festival in Spain. The film has already received many nominations around the world. In July 2019, the film had its Polish premiere at the Lubuskie Lato Film Festival, and in September 2019, it premiered in the US at Newark International Film Festival. Dora wants to develop this film into a full feature - D-Moll FB fanpage.

Her diploma film 'Mów Do Mnie' (Eng. A Silent Song'), which is her third short, was completed in early 2020, and will soon be released. Facebook fanpage

Currently, Dora is co-producing a medium-length documentary titled ’Shinto: the Way of the Kami’, about the Japanese philosophy of life. This project is unique, because Shinto has been largely inaccessible to documentary filmmakers - until now. Facebook fanpage

She is member of the jury at Short of the Year Film Festival, Spain.
Furthermore, she is member of the project management board at FILMEU. https://www.filmeu.eu/dora-laszlo-gulyas/
